Bob Zhang

Bob Zhang is the Founding Partner of Pine Street Capital, where he leads portfolio management, risk oversight, and research strategy.

With over two decades of experience across both the buy and sell sides, Bob has deep expertise in public and private markets. He has built a global network of fund managers, industry experts, endowments, family offices, foundations, and pension funds.

Bob also co-founded Bankside Capital, a firm focused on alternative assets. Previously, he served as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs Asia, where he led the firm's hedge fund and mutual fund businesses, managed key relationships—including with Hillhouse Capital—and advised clients on both primary private deals and secondary market investments.

Earlier in his career, Bob was a fund manager at DBS Asset Management in Singapore, where he managed Greater China equity portfolios and served as a global industrials sector specialist. He began his career at CITIC Securities in China as one of the first QFII advisors, supporting over 100 international institutional investors.

Bob holds a Master's degree in Finance and Economics from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
